When did the Greeks of Patra first raise the flag of Revolution?  Where did Theodoros Kolokotronis win his first significant victory over Ottoman forces? How did the secret Filiki Eteria hide its activities from the sultan’s spies and informers? And what would it be like to follow all the events of 1821 in near real time?

On the occasion of the bicentennial anniversary of the Greek War of Independence, Long Run Productions and the Aikaterini Laskaridis Foundation curated all the action from the Greek War of Independence in 1821, live to a twitter newsfeed 200 years later.

This new media narration over the course of a year brought the events of the war to followers in real time through over 600 tweets, gathering 4500 followers and over 450.000 impressions.
